Tidal Series — Blue Burl Damascus Set

Save $120.00
Sale price$275.00 Regular price$395.00

Most knife sets look the part. The Tidal Series Blue Burl performs it.

At the core of every blade is VG10 high-carbon steel — the same material trusted in professional kitchens worldwide — wrapped in 67 layers of hand-folded Damascus. The result is a blade with exceptional edge retention, striking wave-pattern aesthetics, and the kind of balance that makes a two-hour prep session feel effortless.

The handles are crafted from blue burl resin — each one uniquely patterned, NSF food-safe certified, and shaped for a secure grip through extended use. Whether you’re breaking down a whole chicken or slicing paper-thin carpaccio, this set was built for the task.

What’s Included:

  • 8” Chef’s Knife
  • 8” Bread Knife
  • 7” Santoku Knife
  • 5” Utility Knife
  • 3.5” Paring Knife
  • Kitchen Shears
  • Honing Rod
  • Acacia Wood Block

Blade Specs:

  • Steel: VG10 core, 67-layer Damascus
  • Edge angle: 15° double bevel
  • Hardness: 60± HRC
  • Handle: Blue burl resin, full tang, NSF certified

Care Instructions:
Hand wash only with warm soapy water and dry immediately — never the dishwasher. The VG10 core is high-carbon steel that rewards proper care. Store on a magnetic strip or in the included acacia block. Hone before each use and sharpen with a whetstone when the blade needs refreshing.

Very slick, very sharp

As high quality as you'd expect for the price. They come very sharp, and after using them for a couple months, we're very happy with them. They're using a common damascus method these days where they forge an outer damascus layer over a very high quality steel core. People saying they're engraved are incorrect, but the pattern near the blade looks different because of that process, so I understand why people are confused. They're real damascus. If I could offer one critique it's that the contrast in the damascus could increased.

Amazing!

These knives are SUPER sharp, and hold an edge much better than any stainless steel set I've owned in 42years! And they look good, too!
